Nottingham Civic Society is delighted to support the project to erect a statue in Nottingham, celebrating and commemorating the contribution that working women have made to the city and to the country.
I am so inspired by your work Rachel. You are so grounded in your own and the communities you work with and you fertilise your work with the life experiences of working class people. So powerful.
To remember all women who have worked for the future in so many ways.
Important to remember women workers and the solidarity they have shown to each other through history.
This is such an inspiring piece of work. I love the way it has been devised and created. I hope we get to see it on the Broad Marsh site in the near future.
So important to remember the contributions of both these groups of women. Good luck Rachel and all the project team.
I'm looking forward to visiting this statue in Nottingham! Thank you taking on this challenge to improve representation of working class and enslaved women in the history of the city.
A beautiful, important work that will add greatly to the cultural scene in Nottingham.
I was moved by seeing this piece on the local news last night and just felt driven to help get it produced. Truly inspirational piece of sculpture.
High time we had public sculpture telling women's story, celebrating their history and resilience.
I think this is a long overdue celebration of women’s role in Nottingham. Good luck with the fund raising.
I feel privileged to donate to this project which recognises women's contributions.
Good luck with all the fundraising effort. Looking forward to seeing the statue when it’s unveiled.
So lovely to hear the story of this statue this week and meet those involved.
A fantastic project that has already brought so many talented women together. Good luck as the work continues.
Well done everyone for your hard work!
What a fantastic tribute and recognition to the all those women who never met. I have been a midwife in Nottingham for 40 years and to support this historic symbolism of women's lives is just perfect.
